Disk Space The amount of disk space on the server reserved for your use. The space is pre-structured for you and is where you will put your website, hence disk space is also often referred to as web space. Calculating how much disk space you need will depend both on how large you expect your site to become and on the nature of the site itself. For example a site making extensive use of video, audio or large graphics needs more space than a mainly text-based site. For a small site with a modest amount of traffic, needs can be met with 10 to 100 MB of disk space although you should always leave some room for growth. Should you find that you need to increase your disk space at any time, you can upgrade to a larger plan by emailing upgrades@shinyhost.com stating your requirements. We will then setup and activate your new plan and alter your debit payments to reflect the changes made. Note: Upgrades requests must come from the User e-mail address originally specified during signup.
